I’m assuming you had surgery to repair the torn ligament, If so, physical therapy will help get your strength and flexibility back to normal and minimize the rahabilition time. If you haven’t had the surgery then physical therapy will only strengthen the muscles around your knee, which will allow you to do physical activities, but will not correct the problem. A torn ligament will not grow back and offers zero stability. Strengthening your muscles is a way to compensate only.
